This report presents a review of the family strategies of contemporary Russian youth including the gender components. It uses the results of the pilot surveys by [United Nations Development Programme] UNDP, [World Health Organization] WHO, [United Nations Population Fund] UNFPA, ILO and [United Nations Children's Fund] UNICEF to determine the preference of youth and the demographic policy of the government. ILO Convention No. 156 and Recommendation No. 165 give a negative impact of the work-life conflict for employers, for the society as a whole and for the young people who account for a significant part of the labour force.
